Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 25, 2026
AI Note Taker (“we”, “the app”) records, transcribes and summarizes audio, video, documents and text that you choose to give it. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us process it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account: your e-mail address, name if you give one, and how you signed in (e-mail, Apple or Google).
- Your content: recordings, uploaded files, links, text, and the transcripts, summaries, action items and AI chats made from them. Calendar events and meeting links if you connect a calendar.
- Purchases: which plan you have, its dates and a purchase identifier from Apple. We never see your card number.
- Device and usage: a device identifier, app version, device model, language and anonymous events about how the app is used, so we can keep it working and improve it.
- Advertising: on first launch the app asks whether it may track you across other companies’ apps and websites. If you allow it, we may use your device’s advertising identifier to measure our own ads. If you decline, we do not.
How we use it
We use your content only to make your notes and answer your questions about them. We use account and purchase data to sign you in and give you the plan you paid for. We use usage data to fix problems and improve the app. We do not sell your personal data.
Who processes it for us
We use service providers that handle data only to do their job for us:
- Google Cloud (hosting, database and file storage).
- Speech-to-text and language-model providers, which receive your audio or text to create transcripts, summaries and chat answers.
- A meeting-bot provider, when you ask the app to join a Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams meeting.
- Apple (sign-in, push notifications, purchases) and RevenueCat (purchase management).
- An e-mail provider that sends account messages such as verification and password reset.
Recording other people
You are responsible for getting permission to record other people. Many places require everyone’s consent. The meeting bot announces itself in the meeting.
How long we keep it
We keep your notes and account data until you delete them. When you delete a note it is removed from your account. When you delete your account, your notes and personal data are removed from our servers. Some records, such as purchase receipts, may be kept as long as the law requires.
Your choices and rights
- Delete any note, or your whole account, in the app (Account tab).
- Turn tracking off at any time in iPhone Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking.
- Turn notifications off in iPhone Settings.
- Ask us to access, correct or delete your data by writing to us. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights, such as objecting to processing or complaining to a data protection authority.
Children
The app is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections and files are stored privately. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way we will update the date above and, where needed, tell you in the app.
